Testing the RC 1 and on the first IP backup job, we get this error:

Error code 479 at file copy-in.c, line 479 | Error description: could not create thread 8884

Error occured at about 25% of the running job.

I am having the same problem. I enter the path correctly in GUI  /vmfs/volumes/datastore1/ and it gives the error: Select some datastore...

I think it is a bug, and it started happening when i made an error choosing the correct target path (i entered a non existant folder by mistake).
I can make a backup job through command line just fine, but i can't create backup jobs through GUI anymore.
I can give you remote access to try if you like.

p.s. i made about 50 jobs through GUI before so i am quite familiar how it works.

Thank you Nikolai for the solution. I had the same problem on a fresh install. My build:

Gmail server

I have had the exact same problem. Tried 10 times and followed the manual 100% and still only 1gb. I don't know why (maybe esxi version, disk size....etc) but in our case, the manual is missing the following command at the end:

resize2fs /dev/vg_xsinasfs/lv_xsinasfs

After about 15mins the command completed and disk is now the full size. Maybe consider adding this command in the manual.

I hope it helps!
