XsiBackup DC free

I use the free version of XSI-Backup-DC (1.5.1.1).

I created and executed a backup job using the GUI. Works great. I also added a cron job for this backup. But what kind of backup is carried out now? Full backup? Incremental backup? I assume an incremental backup is being performed. But from what stand. Is a full backup performed the first time and then only incremental backups? If so, why is each incremental backup close to 350MB even though it has not been changed?

Re: XsiBackup DC free

CBT feature is not available to Free version. A checksum based incremental backup is dome instead, which takes much longer, specially on bigger VMs.

An OS that is switched on always generates changes, logs per instance. Just a changed bit will trigger the copy of that whole block (1MB by default).
