XSIBACKUP NAS vmware tools

Hi... I'm trying XSIBackup-NAS (see https://sourceforge.net/projects/xsibackup-nas/files/ and https://33hops.com/xsibackup-nas-help-m … rage.html). When the appliance is implemented ESXi says "VMWare tools not installed". I installed open-vm-tools using the command sudo yum install open-vm-tools. It was installed bun the ESXi still says "VMWare tools not installed". My objetive is to saftely shutdown the OS when i restart the server (OS shutdown).

Re: XSIBACKUP NAS vmware tools

Sometimes ESXi can fail to detect open-vm-tools, which is the package that should be installed in RHEL/CentOS/Fedora and other  Linux distros.

https://github.com/vmware/open-vm-tools/issues/275

You need to make sure the service is not only installed but also running.
