Error while loading shared libraries

Hi,

I've been using XSIBackup Free for months without issues, but recently all my backups have been failing with this error "Error NOVM2BAK: no VMs to backup".

I noticed this error multiple times in the log files :
"unknownvim-cmd: error while loading shared libraries: /lib64/libvim-types.so: unexpected reloc type 0x167228ad".

Do you have an idea how to resolve this issue ?

Best Regards,
CRi

Re: Error while loading shared libraries

Your ESXi install seems to be broken. Quite common if you use an USB or flash device to install the OS.
To be more precise, it seems a GLIbC error when trying to relocate some variable, which makes no sense in the context of ESXi, as all binaries are part of the install. It could also be a hardware problem or having run out of memory.

Re: Error while loading shared libraries

Dang you were so right!
I have rebooted the ESXi server after 200+ days uptime and it encountered an error on the SSD.
Everything seem to work after reboot but I'll back up everything and reinstall the system ASAP.

So silly of me not to have tried that first hmm
Thanks for the help!
