sh: ./xsibackup: Operation not permitted

Hi there

We have a newly installed server which has been upgraded to ESXi 6.7.0 Update 3. I installed XSIBackup at a free version and get

[root@server:/vmfs/volumes/datastore1/xsi-dir] ./xsibackup
sh: ./xsibackup: Operation not permitted

We use XSIBackup on some others servers too where it runs fine for months. Only this new one will not run.

I can start xsibackup by running "sh ./xsibackup", but this does not work on job files:

[root@server:/vmfs/volumes/datastore1/xsi-dir] sh /vmfs/volumes/datastore1/xsi-dir/jobs/001
/vmfs/volumes/datastore1/xsi-dir/jobs/001: line 12: syntax error: unterminated quoted string

The file is executable:

[root@server:/vmfs/volumes/datastore1/xsi-dir] ls -la|grep xsibackup
-rwx------    1 root     root        157859 Jan 23 14:41 xsibackup

What can we do?

Re: sh: ./xsibackup: Operation not permitted

Is your ESXi patched with latests release upgrades, is it a manufacturer version?. Always use official VMWare builds avoid manufacturer versions like the pest.
