cron advise

can anyone explain the steps to get cron jobs configured, please?
I got a job configured, but I have too few infos about the design.
shure I can modify directly local.sh but it would be a workaround ... thx! paolo

It's quite simple: configure a job and test it in the command line. Once you know it's working add --save-job to your backup arguments and press enter, the job will be saved. Then edit /scratch/xsi/var/spool/cron/root-crontab and add your schedule, once you are done run ./xsibackup --update-cron

Jobs are saved to /scratch/xsi/etc/jobs, so you will have to invoke the job from the crontab.
