(c)XSITools over IP to a remote ESXi server return broken pipe

In the BugTracker it was announced this issue will be solved in 11.2.3

I am running on 11.2.3 and have still this issue.
It means the Job is running until the end.
the Size of the backuped vmdk Files also seems ok, but I got always this error in one of my backup Jobs:

CLXSIDF1 error: file transfer error: packet_write_wait: Connection to 87.139.234.106 port 5006: Broken pipe

I would like to know was the detected issue solved in the Version 11.2.3 or is it still pending.

Thanks for your answers in advance

Re: (c)XSITools over IP to a remote ESXi server return broken pipe

This is not an XSIBackup issue. You are receiving a communications error:

packet_write_wait: Connection to 87.139.234.106 port 5006: Broken pipe

Broken pipe, no connection. Is the server reachable at port 5006?

Re: (c)XSITools over IP to a remote ESXi server return broken pipe

yes the server is reachable and I can confirm the backup is running close to the end. It means I backup 2 vmdk disks and I am able to rund the virtual machines too after the backup on the backup-location. the broken-pipe error seems to appear exactly at the moment when the job is finished. I runned the job very often in the past and it returns always this error at the end.

O.K., just to eliminate the most obvious probable reason.
Is you backend a Linux server or an ESXi server?

And you are backing up from which version?
Please post all the relevant facts.

Re: (c)XSITools over IP to a remote ESXi server return broken pipe

Each new (c)ESXI version comes with a new version of OpenSSH and with a different configuration. That error is thrown because of the SSHD keep alive configuration. The transfer finishes O.K. cause that's an ongoing communication but the rest of the tunnel times out.

Just tweak your keep alive configuration in your sshd_config file:

Tweak keep alive values in OpenSSH

We published that bug, but then discussed about the convenience of auto tweaking something as critical as the sshd_config file, that should be left to the sysadmin.
