Error DIFQMSH3

Hi,

I'm using scheduled backup and received "XSIBACKUP no errors detected in backup job" for my weekly backup.

But there is error on list of VM with message
---
Last error raised for the above VM:
ERROR DIFQMSH3, details: [xxx] error: data size mistmatch: 269552 NE 269526
---

So it is still a success backup or not?

Thanks.

Re: Error DIFQMSH3

Activate the --certify-backup=yes option to make sure your copies are equal. That error should have been reported, you might have overlapped backup jobs.

Re: Error DIFQMSH3

I assigned scheduled backup to same destination with onediff for incremental backup. Is there anything wrong?

Re: Error DIFQMSH3

Not neccessarily.

XSIBackup creates a unique .ERR file when launched and stores there all errors and warnings that might be raised during the backup job. Then it reads for errors and warnings to set the e-mail subject at the end of the process.

If in the middle of a backup process you launch another job manually, it will not kill the previous job, but will delete the .ERR file, resulting in a wrong subject, no error reported when there should be some. The VM detail error remains cause it has already been pushed into a variable.
