XSI DC 1.4.3.17: SIGTERM (11) condition was trapped

VMkernel vmhost01.mtka.eu 6.5.0 #1 SMP Release build-17477841 Jan 17 2021 19:24:58 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 ESXi

In a replica job with "--mail-to=example@example.com", VMs are replicated correctly to target path, but in var/log/xsibackup.log I see an error

SIGTERM (11) condition was trapped: check logs for more details

but no report message is not mailed to example@example.com.

Which logs does xsibackup.log refer to? ESXi's?

O.K., we have another client with this issue. Nonetheless they cannot reboot their host and we believe this to have to do with page cache.
Could you please run

hash -r

And try again.

In case this fails a reboot may be required to fix the issue. What we mean by that is that it should be the following step.

After I ran "hash -r" yesteday, today I

- checked the replicated VM: [b]OK[/b]
- checked the xsibackup.log: [b]OK[/b], but contains again "[ins]SIGTERM (11) condition was trapped: check logs for more details[/ins]"
- checked --mail-to mailbox: [b]NOK[/b], it does not contain a report for last night run

I [b]can[/b] reboot ESXi host where XSI shows this behavior.

I'm afraid that is going to be the only solution. Please do and post back.

Before just make sure that you have not mixed different components from different versions. If you made a standard installation that is guaranteed. If you just overwrote the xsibackup binary, please make sure that you perform a standard install.

After ESXi host rebooted, next xsibackup run completed and sent its e-mail report.

Thank you so much for your feedback, we are sorry about the inconvenience. Depending on how you upgrade and the state of your host's memory a reboot may be required.
