Is it plausible to install xsibackup in a VM instead of on the esxi host?
Thanks

(c)XSIBackup-DC runs in ESXi and in Linux x86_64. You could run it in a VM, but that would only allow you to backup local files in the guest OS.
To backup VMs you must run (c)XSIBackup-DC in the ESXi hypervisor.
