error: cannot copy VMX file, details: Warning: Output redirection not

I am trying to backup a VM using Onediff to a remote IP and I get the following error

command
--backup-prog=Onediff---backup-point=XX.XX.XX.XX:22:/ --backup-type=custom --backup-vms=VMNAMEl --backup-as=XXXX

Error
error: cannot copy VMX file, details: Warning: Output redirection not supported
Warning: Output redirection not supported
cat: >: No such file or directory
cat: /machine/machine.vmx: No such file or directory

I can ssh just fine into the sever just fine and I already linked the ESXI box with the UNIX server.

You can't backup nor copy anything to /

Sorry the / was a typo. But that doesn't change a thing. I have a prestaged dir on the rsync server and I get the same error message.

/vmfs/volumes/datastore1/xsi-dir/xsibackup --backup-prog=rsync---backup-point=XX.XX.XX.XX:22:Data --backup-
type=custom --backup-vms=XXXX --backup-as=XXXX

As you stated in a previous post you are Rsync'in to a Unix system, 8c)XSIBackup is not compatible with Unix as a server. That doesn't mean that you can't get it going with Unix, just that we don't support it.
