Select to backup running VM by REGEXP

I try to backup all running VMs that fits the REGEXP(^V)

But

--backup-type=Running \
--backup-vms="REGEXP(^V) \

Ignores the REGEXP finally.

Not possible?

--backup-vms argument is exclusive to --backup-type=custom as explained in the Man Page: (c)XSIBackup Classic Man Page
