Using:
xsibackup --backup-point="/vmfs/volumes/Backup/" --backup-type=custom --backup-vms="vm1!vm1_1.vmdk"
It still backs up vm1_1.vmdk. It shows the needed room as 159 Gb, which is correct for only backing up the vm1.vmdk, but it goes on later to actually try to backup vm1_1.vmdk. It can't actually finish the backup, since the size of vm1_1.vmdk is larger than the Backup volume. This same command worked in 9.1.9.
xsibackup --help still shows this as the correct format, it also shows "vm1!scsi0:1" and "vm1!disk1" as valid too. I tried those last two and they didn't work, although when I tried "vm1!disk1", I did get a message about disk1 being excluded. So, I tried "vm1!1.vmdk" and that does work, so it looks like there's a problem with the "_" in the exclusion in 10.3.0.

Disk exclusions don't work on 10.3.0 free, this issue has been solved in XSIBACKUP-PRO 10.3.2

I downloaded the pro 10.3.2 trial and the banner showed it to be 10.3.0 and it didn't work with exclusions. Any chance of including exclusions with the free version? I am running a home server (single host with 3 vms) and can't really justify $115 for the pro version.

Still waiting for feedback on this since the pro version isn't working correctly I can't verify exactly what the pro version can do.

The Pro trial coalesced with the Free version recently.
There aren't any programmed releases of the Free version until, at a minimum 3 weeks, maybe more, depending on how we can take advantage of our time.
Disks exclusions are working normally on the currently available Pro version 10.3.2.
I'm afraid this is one of those moments in which you have to trust somebody's word or keep on waiting.
Sorry about that, but obviously we dedicate our time to give service to our pro users mainly.

This is sad news. Is there any way to find a copy of 9.1.11 free, where disk exclusions still worked?
