Hi,
does xsibackup now require internet access to smoothly run?
I recently realized that xsibackup doesn't start as smooth anymore as in the past. To be precise: when I fired it up in the past, it started immediately. Now it takes more than a minute until the porgram pops up with first messages (xsi header, etc.).
I checked what's going on with "ps -c | grep xsibackup" and saw this line: 'wget -T2 -qO-...' I then temporarily connected my ESXI server to internet, et voilá it starts immediately again.
Is this check 'xsibackup-pro-ver.txt' really needed? The to be downloaded textfile only carries the version number "10.3.2" at this time.
Thanks

It's just a new version availability check. If you don't have proper Internet access, it may take some time to timeout. To work around this situation, just change the var checkver=yes to checkver=no at the config file conf/xsiopts
