Hi all,

I have mounted an NFS4 server on esxi to be used as a local backup drive and started a job to do cold backup of all VMs.

Few of the VMs were backed up, but then in the middle of the process I get following error:

2021-08-24T17:09:53 | Error code 525 at file dedup-in.c, line 525 | Error description: can't rename temp block: /vmfs/volumes/Backup/./data/3835324099926927.tmp, No such device or address
2021-08-24T17:09:53 | Error code 645 at file dedup-in.c, line 645 | Error description: 793387 lines in .map file is different to 1436550 detected blocks
2021-08-25T08:51:00 | Error code 4138 at file common.c, line 4138 | Error description: could not find .blocklog_dis file, is_first_backup(0)
2021-08-25T08:51:00 | Error code 3190 at file xsibackup.c, line 3190 | Error description: something went wrong grabbing .blocklog data, error: No such file or directory
2021-08-25T08:51:49 | Error code 4138 at file common.c, line 4138 | Error description: could not find .blocklog_dis file, is_first_backup(0)
2021-08-25T08:51:49 | Error code 3190 at file xsibackup.c, line 3190 | Error description: something went wrong grabbing .blocklog data, error: No such file or directory

Also I cannot continue the backup. Since one of the VMs has more than 1.3Tb of data I don't want to start it all over again.

What could be the issue?
Could it be solved and if it can, can I trust the backup integrity ?
