Hi,
The problem is, I should be using different USB hard drives for each day. Each hard drive is replaced manually
One hard drive is for Monday, another for Tuesday, one for Wednesday and so on, each hard drive label is marked "USB Backup".
I registered the VM from every "USB backup" hard drive.
This works, but the problem right now is that XSI Backup does a full backup every night (CID), not a differential backup on every "USB backup" hard disk.

Here is the job:

--backup-prog=OneDiff \
--backup-point=/vmfs/volumes/USB-Backup/vm \
--backup-type=Custom \
--backup-vms="WindowsServer12" \
--backup-how=Cold \
--backup-id=4 \
--description="WindowsServer-4"

Hi,
is it possible to do a weekly backup with OneDiff Option.
To use every day a different harddrives datastores per rotation?
Seven harddrives with the same label. Change every day the harddrive for the backup.

Hi,
i think the problem is, that after the backup there is no XSIBAK found in the web-backend.
But the backup finished without any errors.
(An other VM with same folder works fine and created the XSIBAK entry in the web-backend)
How could I create the XSIBAK entry?

Hi,
My backup starts every day a full backup:
The system disk CID has changed, OneDiff backup will be initialized and a full backup made...

So what is the CID and can I change them
or why this CID changes?

A new problem.
I backup a 8Gb Linux vm. ESXI 6.7u2

Config:

The first backup is ok without any error.

In the vm filesystem there now new Snapshots with
Routerneu-000001-sesparse.vmdk
Routerneu-000001.vmdk

The second backup brings errors: CPERROR2 error: (c) XSIDiff 2.0.0.0 not licensed (20.00 GB limit)

What is wrong?

Hi,
I use XSIBackup PRO and there are many options. ;-)

So, what ist the safest --backup-prog (and fast) way to backup a 800GB data.vmdk with a running (hot) Windows Server and many databases
from the local datastore1 to a local datastore2 on the same host?

--backup-prog vmkfstools onediff or xsitools?

It is safer to use the warm mode?
