With a traditional backup schema your backed up data will not even leave the building where the main data resides, in some cases it doesn't even leave the datacenter and thus something as simple as a broken water pipe can cause a permanent data loss. Even if you have a protocol to always have a copy in a different place you can lose some days of work.

At 33HOPS we are backup experts, we manage the most advanced technologies that will help keep your data safe: differential backup and data deduplication, both at block level, also combined with distributed storage at the file system level will ensure your data is always safe.

Deduplication will allow you to multiply your backup capacity by many times. Let's say you have to backup 1300 gb. of data every day and that all you can afford with your budget is a nice NAS system with a 4 Tb. disk array and a double gigabit NIC. This is a very common scenario in many SMEs around the globe. If you use robocopy to make a differential backup at file level, you can be sure you'll have a copy of your data everyday. But what if your data gets corrupted or overwritten by a mistaken version. The best way to overcome this is to make a full backup every day under its own folder, this way you can move backwards in time to the point where your untouched file is, and rescue your valuable data. Needless to say this backup strategy will take 1300 gb. for everyday's folder, so you will be able to keep last three day's backups, and soon, as the data grows only two backups will fit. Deduplicación a nivel de bloque

When using deduplication at block level, every block is stored only once, so the proposed scenario will use 1300 gb. for the first backup and only a fraction of those 1300 gb. for the subsequent backups. Why?, it's simple, because the following backups will only use the space needed for the blocks that did change since the previous backup. In an average enterprise not all data changes everyday but only a small fraction of it does. As a result, by using deduplication technology your 4 TB. NAS device will be able to handle hundreds of backups, every one of them will be in its own folder and you will access its contents just like if it was a full independent backup.

Replication at the File System level offers you the posibility to keep a copy of your data in any place of the world in real time. As data blocks are written to disk they are sent over IP to a secondary system that will hold a fresh copy of your data, ready to be used.

With Cloud Backup you will fall asleep very easily. We will make your backup in a remote server hundreds of miles away from your facilities so not even an earthquake will compromise your data. Optionally the backup can be replicated to different nodes so you have a "n" redundant topology.

Contract a Cloud Backup to 33HOPS and you will always be sure you have a consistent copy of all your data in a secure place.
